Positives and negatives
Samba Printing
Samba Backlit has a natural textile look and is the number one choice for illuminated frames due to its excellent price-quality ratio.
The material has a maximum print width of 494 cm in one piece, making it suitable for large frames. This polyester fabric weighs 195 grams/m².
200% Full Color Print
For this material, we use UV printing technology. Samba Backlit features a 200% full color print for vibrant colors in backlit applications.
One drawback of UV printing is that due to the double layer of ink, the material may have a temporary strong odor.
Most Common Applications
Samba Backlit is primarily used for illuminated messages in LED frames. Because the material is dirt- and water-repellent, it can be used both indoors and briefly outdoors.
When used outdoors, the expected lifespan of the material is about a year. Factors such as UV light and weather conditions influence its durability. For indoor applications, the material can last for years.
Lotus Effect
Samba exhibits the lotus effect: dirt and water do not adhere but roll off the surface. This makes the material resilient and suitable for temporary outdoor use.
Finishing Options
When working with this material, you can choose from two different finishing options: clean cutting or a flat keder. Samba Backlit is commonly used for LED frames, where the flat keder option is available.

What is the expected lifespan of Samba?
When used indoors, the material lasts for years. For outdoor use, the expected lifespan is one year. Lifespan is affected by UV light and weather conditions, among other factors.
There are creases in my fabric, how do I get them out?
Tightly stretching the fabric will make the creases disappear. You cannot iron Samba.
What is the best way to clean this material?
With warm water and a fiber cloth. We do not recommend cleaning agents because they may damage the ink. This material cannot be washed.
What printing technique do you use for this material?
The UV printing technique! Here the ink is hardened by a UV lamp. The ink is scratch-resistant and gives a beautiful finish. Good to know: the print is not odor-free, this goes away after a little while.
