Plexiglass, also known as acrylic, polymethyl methacrylate or perspex, is lighter, stronger and more durable than standard double glazing. The material has a luxurious and upscale look and is provided with UV prints. Plexiglass is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications and can be milled into almost any shape.
Go for clear or opal
Almost everyone is familiar with the clear variant of Plexiglas. This type is often used as a panel or contour-cut shape on the wall. Plexiglas opal has a milky white appearance and therefore light shining behind it comes into its own nicely, for example in light boxes.
